Question: How do I request a coach or teammate for my child and will we get the teammate/coach we requested?
Answer: You may request a coach for your child. We are no longer taking teammate requests as there were many issues regarding kids names spellings, age issues etc. Milltown Soccer will make every effort to honor the coach request, but cannot meet all participants’ requests. First come first served on coach requests. Once rosters have been posted, they are final and Milltown Soccer will not make changes to your child’s assigned team.
Question: How do I find out to which team my child has been assigned?
Answer: Once Milltown Soccer has completed team formation you will recieve an email from the coach outlining what team your child is on. This should occur by the end of July.
Question: How will Milltown Soccer and/or my child’s coach contact me?
Answer: The email address you provide will be used for all communication between you and the league. Please ensure that you provide an appropriate address for receiving Milltown Soccer and coaches’ emails.
Question: What is the schedule for Kick and Chase (Kindergarten and First Grade Soccer) and where do they play?
Answer: Kick and Chase “Kick-off Night” will occur in early September.That night, you will meet your coach, and obtain your jersey.
Question: When will my coach contact me and when do practices start (for all age groups older than Kick and Chase)?
Answer: Your child’s coach will contact you in the first two weeks of August. Practices will start between August 1 and September 1st. If you do not hear from your coach, please email him or her directly by using the email provided on your child’s roster.
Question: What should my child wear/take to practice sessions?
Answer: Your child should wear a comfortable shirt, shorts, and shin guards with long socks. Your child should bring a soccer ball, a bottle of water and, for sunny afternoons, sunscreen.
Question: What equipment does Milltown provide and what do I need to purchase for my child?
Answer: Milltown Soccer will provide your child with a soccer jersey.You will need to provide a soccer ball, soccer cleats (no baseball cleats), black shorts, shin guards, socks, and a water bottle. Shin guards are to be worn under the soccer socks.
Question: What is your refund policy on cancelled registrations?
Answer: If you cancel your registration prior to June 1st, 2010 you will receive a full refund. 50% rfund will be given if you cancel prior to July 1st. There will be no refunds issued after July 1st. If the registrant received a free Portland Timbers ticket courtesy of Milltown, that value will be subtracted from any of the above refund rates.
Question: How do I get a player card?
